  • H1 Transfer - Question regarding Green card Processing

    Hi Immihelpers,

I need your suggestion on the following question i have. I was on H1 with Employer A since December 2006 (roughly 2 years now). My employer (A) started my PERM process in October 2008. I have now transfered my H1 to employer B. My question is can i keep Green card process active with my old employer (Employer A) and still work for the new employer (Employer B) ? As i am transfering my H1 my old employer is asking me to pay the expenses incurred for the PERM process. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

GC is for future employment and can continue. But with an employer that you have, I am sure if the PD becomes current and you have to file a 485, they could be demanding more money just for that.

You better find a good employer than the joker you are dealing with.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
