H1 Transfer Question

I have an approved H1 petition valid until 2011. However I just have the bottom (or employee) part of the I797 and I129 pack. Will it be good enough to apply for H-1b transfer? or will I require any additional documents from my existing employer? Please note that I am currently in US but I dont have a valid visa stamped on my passport as my visa expired last year before the renewed peition arrived and since then I have not left the country.

Your I-94 showing H1b status (bottom of approved I797) and proof of current status (paystubs) will do.
