H1 transfer

I was laid off by company A in Nov 2008. I managed to find another employment with company B on Jan 15, 2009 and my H1 transfer was initiated and is now under progress. Now, I have a better offer with Company C and would like to go for it.

1. what should I do to get my H1 transfered? I have the receipt # for co B H1 transfer
2. I suspect that Co A may have canceled my H1. Is there any risk involved with this transfer?

Look at "bridging" posts. I am afraid you were out of status even when B's transfer was filed and you have a risk. Further more, you don't qualify to use AC21 and join B or C as you have been out of status at the time. Talk to an attorney.
