Will Spouse's H1B processing be a problem for her H4

Hi all,
I am rajeev and got my H1B stamped this January. Due to recession, I am planning to wait at least for another couple of months before I travel. I had plans to call my wife who is working now, in H4 once I reach US and after 3-4 months of work.

We now have plans to apply a H1b in 2009 quota for my wife. My queries with respect to this are,

• If she gets through the lottery and while waiting for the visa interview say Nov/Dec, can she apply for H4 say July? I mean, can both the visa process happen parallel?

• If she gets rejected in lottery process or in the visa interview, will it be a problem for her if she applies for H4 visa?

• Will it be a problem for her if the same company which applied H1B for me applies for my wife also?

Kindly advise me on this regard.
