Hi,
I am staying in USA in L2 visa from Feb 2008. In the mean time I applied and got approved for H1B visa from August 2008. Due to personal reason I could not start job last year and my employer ( consulting firm) asked me to find a job by March15th of 2009.
But my mother is currently critically ill and I wish to go to India for this reason. My question is if I go now without securing a job then what will be my visa status when I will return back from India ( which may be by May 2009). I don’t have H1B visa stamping only the approval notice. Please clear me in this point, am I still L2 visa holder or my status is H1B ?
