New H1B Question

Friends,

I am working on a L1A visa and would like to apply for a H1B. Due to the market condition, I would like to apply but would like to use it only from end of 2010 or from start of Jan 2011.

Is there such an option to apply for H1B but only use it when you need it?

If so , what option in the H1B application facilitate this kind of delayed use of H1B ?

As there are lot of small consultant companies which are sponsoring H1Bs but never sure how long they survive, does holding H1B from a closed company push the holder into trouble?

End of 2010? Why dont you start bothering about it around same time next year?

H1b is for a job that is awaiting someone's arrival as no USC is available to fill the position.
