Help Need companies sponsoring H1

Hi,
I've talked to a lot of companies and most of them have responded that
they are not going to sponsor h1 this year. What's going on ?
Is there a pattern going on that I fail to understand ?
As the recession is going on, it might be very very difficult to get a job
is my understanding. Any inputs ?

Also can you refer me some good companies that sponsor H1 ?

Enforcement has been strict by USCIS, Consulates. The companies have to prove that no USC or GC holder is available in US to sponsor a H1b holder as per the LC to be filed prior to H1b filing. In this economy, there are 1000s of qualified USC to take up the job and proving so will be difficult.

If they are caught mis-representing anything (especially the H1b dependent consulting companies), they could be put behind bars and the business shut down. Who wants to be the first? No one.
