Travelling when H4 transfer in process

Hi,

I recently changed my employer and my H1 and family's H4 is in transfer process. Looking at the current situation I am not sure how long this will take to get approved.

Meanwhile my family (they have never been to the US earlier) are coming to the US in May 2009. Will they have any issue at the POE in case :

1. The transfer petition is still pending approval?
2. Transfer is approved, then do I need to send them any original documents to be carried with them at the time of travel?
