H1 transfer without project

    H1 transfer without project

    Hello,

    I am working with a consultant who holds my H1. I want to transfer my H1 to another consultant who currently does not have a project for me but is ok with H1 transfer. Can i continue to work with my current employer till I get a project with the new consultant and join him once i get the project.
    In such a case at some point i will have 2 H1's one with the current employer and one with the new consultant. Will this lead to any legal problems ?

    You can do that as long as the H1 with current employer is valid.

      The new employer needs to have a job for you to have the transfer done successfully. Project or not, they should pay.
