Hello friends:
I am in the process of renewing my passport; I got few queries while filling out the online Passport Registration form.
1. When I started application an alert window said, 'the first available appointment for receiving the application will be MM/DD'. What is this date? Does this mean regardless of when I send my documents, they'll process them only on the date mentioned above? Also If we want to appear in person, do we need to go only on this date?
2. On the form there are two address columns. 'Address to be printed in passport' -- Is this the Indian address? If so can I use my current home address? Do we need to provide any proof for that too? Why I am asking is, my current passport is not holding my home address, isn't that a problem?
'Other Address' -- Is this US address??
3. I am renewing my passport; so what's the appropriate desired service?
'Fresh Passport' or 'Re-issue of passport'.
