  • My would a H1B transfer case shift to other USCIS service center

Recently I moved to a new company(a small IT consulting firm based in New Jersey) .The new company had applied for my H1B to be transferred on their name. The H1B transfer case was filed with Vermont Service center and USCIS received the application on 2nd feb 2009 and sent a receipt notice. On march 4th 2009,USCIS has informed the attorny that this H1B case has been transferred to California Service Center. The reason given is that California Service center has jurisdiction over this case.
I am trying to find out what could be the reason for transferring this case to California Service center.Could any one comment on this?

--- As part of an ongoing effort to improve the quality and efficiency of customer service delivery, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) periodically shifts benefit processing work from one agency service center to another, in order to balance the overall workload with processing capacity.
This is not a my words... read on USCIS: http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrele...s_092906PN.pdf Notice is old but still valid.... don't worry its depend on workload...
