Cost for H1B

Could you tell me how much does it cost for filing H1B ?

Also, does USCIS return all the fees if the name is not picked up in the lottery ?

USCIS returns all the fees, but I have heard instances when employer dont return anything

I dont know how much, but I guess somewhere around 3.5 grand, if done by the employer. Using a lawyer certainly increases the cost. Why do you care, employer must pay for filing H1B. If your employer is asking you to pay and you are giving-in, then thats the wrong first step.
