H4 related - Minimum Number of days of stay in US before Visa expires

Hi,
I am planning to file H4 for my wife. My visa is expiring on May 5th. My extension is in process. I am expecting the visa interview date with the US consulate, Chennai to be around 26th of this month. Will there be any issue owing to the fact that there are only 40 days of my H1 visa expiry?

The visa will be issued for 40 days only.

Hi,

I have also same kind of problem. But my case is I got married in last december and come back to usa in Jan. My visa also going to expire in april 15, 2009 (According to stamping). But My I-94 is valid till 2010 aug according to new pitition.

I have question. If my wife going to stamping till what time she can get visa?

according I-94 or as per my stamping visa?

Hi Gangadhar,

Make sure that ur wife has ur original latest I-797 and Photcopy of the new I-94 when she goes for the interview.
She will get the Visa till the end date of your new I-797
