H1b renewal / transfer

My current employer requires a 6 month notice before quitting. My H1B expires in Oct 09. I have a new job offer which I very much like to take up. Do I renew my current visa and then quit or do I quit and transfer my current h1B?

H1B visa extension at Chennai Consulater


Hi,

I came to USA on company A on h1b and after working 1.9 years, I have transferred my h1b to Company B (India's top-5 company). Then my company A started my greencard processing and my I-140 is also approved and my company A told me to transfer my h1b before they apply I-485.

I am planning to attend chennai US consulate in June 2009 for Visa extension (I have just completed my 4 years term). Please let me know, in my DS-156 form, should I need to mention that, my IMMIGRATION petition is pending ?

Please answer based on current recession/visa rejection point of view ???
