how early before the work date?

how r u doing?
i am applying for the H1B visa and my work starts from 20 June 2009 so how early can I go to usa before start of my work? is there any thing like not more than 10 days before the work starting date? please let me know so that I can plan my trip

---- Is your H1B from the 2010 or 2009 quota
---- 2010 quota --- Start date is only Oct 1, 2009 (arrival in US 10 days before start date)
---- 2009 quota --- Arrival --- Any time

visa cap exempted

i am a doctor so i get visa that is cap exempted, my hospital applied visa in march 2009 and i got the documents 2 weeks back,and my work will start in june 2009
