The national processing average is 8-10 months, what the heck is happening at the Texas Service Center? It appears they are 2 months behind. The recent published processing dates were updated on April 16, 2009, yet they trick people with another date, an as of date of February 28, 2009. I don't understand the difference in dates and it is impoossible to calculate an accurate processing date. Apparantly these processing groups need 30 days to check their work, and another 30 days to publish a date.
I have been waiting more than 19 months now for my GC.
I understand the concept of a backlog, however if I was 9 months behind in my job, I'd already be unemplyoyed!
FYI, I don't recommend using the Texas Service Center.
