H1-B extension + Glitch in USCIS Case status update

Hi,
I have my H1 B submitted for extension under normal processing.
I received a WAC No, but when I use the "Case Status" to check the status of my H1-B on USCIS.gov."It says the WAC number not valid".
The employers lawyer says that there is a glitch in the USCIS web site.

What I wish to know from this forum users is that
Has anyone else faced same situation as me ?

This has happened to couple of folks. If you call the 800 number for status check, it works. Try it.
