Need advice L1B to H1B

Hi all,

I am right now working on L1B status for my company, it expires in 2011. My H1B application also has been approved [same company]. It is effective from 1st October 2009.

Now, I have to travel to India next month and will be back in June. I am worried if I need to go for stamping before coming back ? Will my L1B be valid until I return back [as I will be back before October 1st].

Is it safe to travel in L1B and be back in L1B ? Please advice.

You can return on L1b in June but as of Oct 1st, your status will change to H1b and you need to be working on H1b. As it is the same company, there is not much changing for you. Your HR should know this as a part of Efren Hernandez memo.
