Need to know the best way to extend/transfer H1B Visa?

Iam in a precarious situation, as such it has been only 3 + yrs for me on H1B Visa and recently when I transferred my visa from Company A to Company B ,I got only one more year of H1 Validity or extension...citing my contract is till end of this year.

The question is can I come out of this situation by transferring my H1B to Company C now from Company B and get 3 years I-797 petition,since I fell into this ugly situation of getting only 1 yr validity when I transferred my visa from Company A to Company B,which is primarily consulting firm? Will USCIS consider my current I-797 petition for transfer or my stay in US(just 3 years)...Pls suggest right ways of handing this..

Also related to this question, will filing Labour /PERM application with Company B(current employer) lead to any issues considering the current i-797 petition is valid till end of year and I dont think it will be a prob extending my H1 later this year..? Pls suggest

You can use a total of 6 years by applying for extensions. It just happened that the contract was for 1 year and so was your extension.
