Hi Everyone,
I need urgent advice from you guys..My case details are below.
I am currently in US on L2. I have an approved H1B petition from 2008 (no visa stamped yet) from my employer and I am on unpaid leave right now.
I will be quitting my current job in end of May. Once I quit my employer will be revoking this petition.
1) If I find a company to hire me, is it possible to transfer the existing H1 to my new employer before it is revoked?
2) Or is it possible for them to apply for a new H1 this year? Should my existing H1 be canceled before I can apply for a new one?
3) Are there any companies who will file a new H1 for me?
4) Is there anything like change of status from L2 to H1 as I am already in US?
Please help me with any advice you can offer. I am in US for the first time and I don't know much about these rules.
