Is letter from employer describing relationship necessary?

Hi,

The list of docs stated by Immihelp for H4 states a point

Form I-129 of the Principal Applicant, and letter from employer that describes the relationship with the Principal Appplicant and the purpose of travel

I have i-129 but i am not sure about second part i.e letter from employer....
What is that document?

Is that necessary.Is an original copy required

Why take a risk? Just get a letter with details like employed since, title, salary etc, and yes in original.
