Visa Validity Question

Hi,

One of my friends wife got her visa status changed to H4 from H1 after she lost her job 2 months back. Now she is scared that her employer might have got her H1b terminated since she is now on H4 status.

Now she wants to change her employer and so is there any way by which she can know if her H1 visa is cancelled or still alive without asking her employer as asking her employer can trigger some doubts in his mind?

---- If she want to initiate a H1 transfer to a new employer, she can do it as long as the 6 year period for the H1 is not completed. There is no need enquire this matter with the old employer as that has ne bearing on her transfer process. Even if it revoked the H1 time period is valid. Only the employment on H1 with that employer no longer exists
