  • Processing time after H1b visa denial

I attended for H1b visa interview at the US consulate in Dubai, UAE on July 23th but visa issuance was refused under section 221g. The officer gave me a letter that states my file will be sent back to USCIS for further review. I am sure there is nothing wrong in my petition and USCIS will reaffirm it. My question is that how much time this process will take?

    Thanks in advance

I read on some forums that it will take at least 1 year. Is there a way to speedup the process? How can I track my case?

---- You have to be just patient. All times for processing are at best only speculation and there is no way to speed it up. Just wait

Is there a way to track the package?

It's almost 2 months without an update from either consulate or USCIS. Please let me know how much time I should expect that the package is sent back to USCIS.

H1B stamping 221(g) requesting wage reports etc.....

I have had a similar experience, I came for my H1B stamping to Dubai and they issued me 221(g) requesting wages reports, employer-client contract etc.

My employer's attorney sent me the relevant documents which I have submitted to the conuslate.

Does anyone have an idea whether the consulate will do the H1B stamping and how long it will take?

            Thank you for your replies.

I am still waiting for notification from USCIS. It was more than 4 months ago that I attended for interview but I have not received any notification from USCIS. Is this normal?

Some cases take even more than that. Check the below thread. Look at the time frame after which the visa got approved after the 221g.

                    Dear Shervin,
Thank you for the link. Is there a way by any chance to speed-up the process?

Unfortunately, there is no such speed-up process.
