H1B Stamping after expiry -- Need Help

Hi Members,

My Visa Stamp is expiring on Sep 30th, but I have my I 797 till June 2010.
I am in a project which is till November(no idea about extension yet).
I am planning to go for Visa Stamping in Mexico during September for which I have few questions.

1) How will be the Visa chances since my project is till November only?
2) How are the Visa chances in Mexico compared to India?
3) Does anyone know how is the Visa Stamping done recently in Hyderabad?
4) Will the VO ask why I came for stamping when my I 797 is still there till June 2010, what should be my answer?

Appreciate your inputs/suggestions.
