  • H1B Transfer while being on L1

I am currently working on L1 visa for company A. I have H1B from company B. Can I get my H1 transfered to company C without working for Company B.

    possible, iF

    1. you have an approval copy of company B
    2. All the time you were in status

Whenever I talk to comany about H1 transfer, they say that they need H1 pay stubs. Even though I try to tell them that it is not required, they don't agree to it.
      What should I say them

Was your h1b came with or without I-94 when got approved?

If it was without I-94 and you are working on L1 all the time then you dont need H1B pay stub.

My H1B came with i-94. But I am maintaining My L1 status. and was never on H1 status. Just before the start of H1B (1st Oct 2007) I went out of the country and came back on L1. Since then I am on L1.
So is it possible to get H1B transfered without paystub.

Tell your employer to talk to a lawyer as you need pay stubs of your current status(L1) to COS to H1b.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
