Hi visa Gurus,
I am planning to go for stamping on sept first week in India for H1b extension, recently i have transferred my h1 from very reputed company to small company before coming back to india in feb, now since I saw some available dates and I have got new project in hand starting from 3rd week, can you all please let me know how long will it take to generate to get new LCA (earlier i heard it was taking only a day) and second question if stamped can i collect my visa next day from the date of visa stamped from visa consulate office?

If stamped, you should be able to collect the passport on the day after stamping. I collected it on the same day evening @ Chennai consulate when I went for stamping last time.

-- LCA is take maximum 1week , minimum 1day.
which consulate you are going to apply? If visa is stamped mostly all consulate/embassy return passport on second day.

If you want to collect the passport from the consulate, then you will have to let the VFS office (Courier) know that you will be collecting the passport from them. Otherwise, they will courier it.

It doesn't work that way. No one needs to be notified that the PP will be collected from the counter. All PP by default are available for counter pick-up the day VFS receives the PP. If it is not picked up by the cut-off time of say 5 pm, it will be sent by courier.

Thank you txh1b. I didn't knew that. When I went for stamping, I checked with the VFS office and they asked me to come and collect it on the same day evening. So I thought that we need to notify them if we don't want the passport to be sent in courier. My bad! Thanks for the information.

I am planning to go to chennai for stamping next week. My employer have applied my LCA on last monday hopefully should be able to receive before I go for stamping, and I also want to know that intially i was planning to carry Client letter, since client doesn't want to give letter, but middle layer consultant has given me letter stating that i will be working for their client, Is it safe to carry middle layer letter?

That is something you can check at the VFS counter in the Chennai consulate.

You will not get it the same day if the appointment is late. It all depends on the consulate. You just have to SMS and check with VFS on when they get the passport.
