H1 Approved..But wants to come in H4

Please share your experience and advice.

I have applied H1b for my wife in 2009 and she got the approval. I think she will get the H1b Petition in Oct. In the mean time she went to India with H4 extension. Now she want to comeback with H4 then change H1 later. I want to know if she can go for H4 stamping now and get into US with H4. I am planning to bring her before end of September.

Please help me on this.

--Since she has already traveled outside US, her status wont change to H1 from Oct 1st. She is okay to proceed with her H4 stamping and enter on H4. Later she can file change of status from H4-H1.
--Make sure she has all papers in order like your recent pay stub, extension approval etc.

Do you think the consulate can check her H1b details while go for H4 stamping. Is there any chance to cancel the h4 by consulate and any question about h1b.

I want to make sure she dont get into any toruble while going for H4 stamping.

Please advice
