H1 Transfered and Travel to India
Hi Friends,
My current situation/facts:
1. H1 Visa stamped through Company A in Sept 2007 and Travelled to United States in Dec 2007.
2. H1 transfered in November 2008 (after 11 months) and got H1 transfered approved in January 2008 and received new I797 and I94.
3. H1 transfer case reopened by USCIS in May 2009 and they say that we are now reviewing our earlier decision (attorney says that it has never happened and could be a mistake on USCIS part).
4. My Passport and my dependants passport (my wife and kid) have the H1 stamp from Company A.
5. I need to travel to India to attend a wedding in the family.
My concerns and questions:
1. Am I in a good position to go to India?
2. Do I have to get the new H1 visa stamped in India on my and my dependant's passport?
3. Can I have the restamping done in Canada as well?
4. What documents will be required for the re-stamping?
5. What documents should I carry along with me, if I should travel to India?
