h4 to h1

Hi Experts,

i got h1 picked last year , now can i apply for h4 and then go to USA on h4.

what happens to my h1 if i apply for h4.?

is it possible to go USA on H4 and then transfer to H1...if so do i need to again wait for march for h1 picking?

You can go on H4.
Your H1 would still be valid, and you can apply for change-of-status from H4 to H1 (not advised to do it immediately though).
