H4 question

Hello Members...I have the following question regarding H4....If person on H1B travels outside the US, is it necessary for his dependent i.e. H4 to also travel with him?...I want to know whether person on H4 can stay in US while H1B applicant is visiting India or do both need to travel together since H4 status is dependent on H1B status....Thanks.

As long as you have intentions to come back and you don't plan to stay away from the country for too long, they are good (Assuming the dependents have enough duration in their I-94). Also, it is necessary that you have maintained your H1B status.
