  • H1B - visa Interview - chennai consulate

    Hi ,
    Thanks in Advance .
Am first time applying for H1b and my interview date is on 2nd dec .

    My doubts are below ,

    1) I have given my tax return (original ) for my company for client visa processing and now I cant get them back from my present company . I have copies of Form 16 for this year and last year .
How crucial is tax return forms for interview.

    2) Also , here I dress in Suits to office ( my present one ) and have never been comfortable with fomals .. ( have never been compelled to wear one too ) How crucial is it , to be in formals .. for interview appearance ?

    3) In DS 157 - 17 th question - Qualification column - I have written as BE .
But my friends advise me to add "BE - IT " , Can I add that with manually with PEN .. or can leave them as such ?

    4) Have Visit Visas to few countries ( though have visited some and not visited others) since spouse has been there for training and I had the provision to go along. Will those be questioned and if so how is this taken during interview ? and will it be affect the stamping process ?

    Kindly let me know .

Not very important. You have to give this only if asked and you can give whatever you have. A copy of return is also fine.

Take a chill pill, wear any clean, comfortable clothing.

Not required, this will be fine.

    4) Have Visit Visas to few countries ( though have visited some and not visited others) since spouse has been there for training and I had the provision to go along. Will those be questioned and if so how is this taken during interview ? and will it be affect the stamping process ?

    Those do not matter.

    Kindly let me know .
Don't worry, remember you have to prove that you have a legitimate job and your qualifications are sufficient for the job. Rest of the things are not so important.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
