My H1B cancelled by employer before travelling

Greetings all,

My H1B has been canceled by my employer, due to his financial position, before even I traveled to US. I don't really know for sure when it was actually canceled. My question is, is there any way for me to travel to US now? or is my visa just a piece of paper now?

Someone told me that my visa is still valid and its just the sponsorship that has been canceled, and the airport immigration wont stop me from entering.

Please help me out in this regard.

It is fraudulent to enter when the H1b petition is cancelled even if you have a valid visa. You should find another sponsor, have them submit a petition for H1b transfer (read FAQs) and once approved, you can enter using the already approved visa along with the new I797 from the new employer.

Do not attempt to enter using the existing employer without a job. You will be deported or put in jail.
