I had a tough time to get an emergency appointment recently at the Delhi embassy and i'd like to share my findings.
VFS representatives share a different info each time they are contacted.
To get an Emergency appointment, make sure you fall under one of the categories mentioned under "priority appointment" link.
I was under "Returning workers" category - The dates were appearing in Green however, they were not selectable (VFS claims these dates were open in other categories and NOT for returning workers)
The contact number to reach the Embassy directly and bypassing the VFS is
011 2419 8310. These calls are monitored between 2:00 PM to 4:00 Monday through Friday.
You can also email them at [email protected] describing the urgency, attach all the docs that you think would support your cause, a letter from employer can do wonders.
For regular appointments: Email them at [email protected] or call at 011 42220000.
Hope this helps,
Sumit
