H1B - Drivers License

Advice Please.

My H1B is expiring soon, so as my Drivers License (In Florida, Drivers License issued until I-797 expair date).

Can any one please advice me what to do if my renewal of H1B is not approved before I get my new I-797. Because without approved I-797 Florida does not issue new Drivers licenses.

They will need to see the extended I-94 (at the bottom of approval notice) to renew your DL. That is the way it is in most states now. Has your employer filed for H1 extension already?

My employer has not filed my renewal yet. May I should push him to do so.

Extension petition has to be received by USCIS before the previous petition expires.
