H1B beyond six years based on spouse's pregnancy

Hello Sir/Madam,

My current H1B term will be expiring on Mar 1, 2010. We are expecting a baby in June,2010. Is there any possibility to request INS to extend my H1B for some more time on medical grounds? Do you know any precedence or do you have any experience handing such cases? Will you be able to help us in this case?

Please let me know if it's feasible, we want to proceed ASAP.

One more quick question. Actually my my first H1B term started in Mar 2004. However, when I moved to my new company in November 2007, my company requested my H1B expiration date to be Nov 2010 and INS approved it. Even my H1B visa stamp from the US consulate has the expiration date of Nov 2010. Do you know if I can work till Nov 2010 or Mar 2010?
