  • H1 Documents - General Question

    Hi all,

    I am going to India for stamping this month end. So far, along with the documents mentioned on the consulate's website, i have all the below mentioned documents:

    * Original LCA
    * Original I - 129 petition
    * Employment verification letter with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
    * Offer Letter
    * Company brochure
    * Company's photos
    * Letter from employer to the Consulate for visa support (Employer details that they have filed for h1b petition and its approved and they request the consulate to approve your visa)
    * State Unemployment Wage Reports, showing all wages paid to each employee in the state, for the past three quarters. (This should be the actual forms filed to the State authorities listing each employee and wages paid during the quarter.)
    * Employer Lease Document
    * A notarized list of all the petitioner’s employees of the job site listed. The list should show all employees’ names, their specific job titles, start and end dates, and their individual salaries and immigration status.
    * Income tax return of employer for 2007 2008 and 2009
    * Contract between employer and Vendor
    * Client Letter

    Can you please let me know if anything else is needed? I am trying to cover all the bases from my side and don't want to leave anything to chance. If anyone was asked for any other document apart from these, please share. I got my first H1 this sep and been working at this client's location for 8 months now. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

      Thanks Shervin. I do have my pay stubs, tax returns for the last 2 years and bank statements too. Do you think i have it all covered? Can they ask for any other document you might be aware of? I know it is on a case to case basis, but if you could please let me know what you think, i would appreciate it.

      Cheers mate!
