Need clarification on change of status with in US

Hello,

I need a clarification on changing my status from B1 to H1. Let me explain clearly. I got B1 in Sep 2008 after that I again went to US consulate and got stamped my H1 in Feb 2009. Now I came on B1 to US. Now can I directly change my I94 status from B1 to H1 staying in US only, is it possible. If possible can you please guide how to do that?

You will have to just apply for new H1.
