H1 B visa

i am working on Project got new H-1 B in oct09 but OPT valid Till Jan10. so can i still work on OPT ?

Did that H1B come with a new I-94 attached to it? If Yes, then your status is H1B starting Oct 1st 2009. Your employment in OPT status after Oct 1st is illegal and you are out of status if you don't have pay slips from the H1B employer.
