    Hello Friends

I'm presently in US on H1B visa. Will be back in India for my wedding on April 10. I am planning to return to US for work on May 1st with my spouse. Planning to take an appointment for H4 visa interview in between.

    1. Is it mandatory to update the passport (both of us) for spouse name before going for visa interview? or Is Marriage certificate good enough?
    2. Can I make an appointment with consulate for visa interview before wedding?
    3. I am from kerala, I heard VFS started Centers in Kochin recently, is it true ? if so i can schedule the H4 interview in kochin. ?

If you have time before your marriage ceremony. You can do a court/civil marriage, get the certificate and appear for interview even before the ceremony.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
