  • Advice needed for a Singaporean

    I am a singaporean, under the US-Singapore FTA, I am eligible to apply for a H1B1 visa.

    Does that make it easier for me to get a job in US?

    By the way I do not understand the following:
    Certified form ETA 9035 or 9035E from the U.S. Department of Labor provided by the employer;

    What is this ETA9035 form ?

    No. It doesn't mean it'll be easier for you to get a job. You still need to get a job offer from a US employer before you can get your H1 visa. As for the ETA form, I believe that's the first step your US employer would need to go thru to apply for a temporary foreign worker.

    Best of luck!

      Thanks friend!

      Hi,
      Thank you very much for the info.
      I was under the wrong impression that under the FTA, it will be easier for me to get a job.

      After all ,here the talk is that " the US employer need not prove that there is no suitable US local for this job".

      Thanks again.
