Incorrect visa date on I797

The I797 that I received has an incorrect expiration date. I am in my 5th year of h1 and the new I797 that I recived should have had the expiration of 2011 ( total 6yrs of H1) but it icorrectly has 2012 as expiration. So it gives me one additional year. My lawyers have filed for the correction but in the mean while I am going to India and getting my visa stamped based on the I797 that I currently have. Will this be an issue? If so, what can I do.

You can go for the visa stamping and explain the same to the VO. This should not be an issue, since this is not a mistake on your part.
Also, your lawyer can try to expedite the correction process with USCIS. USCIS should be able to do this with no additional cost, since it was an error at their end.
