H1 to L1 and again h1?

Hi,

I had a H1B from June 2005 to June 2008. But during this course my company filed for an L1 Visa and it is valid upto june 2010. After I got my L1 stamped my H1 B was canceled. I worked in the US from 2005 July to 2008 Oct. I havent been to US since last 14 -15 months. Now I am again traveling to US on my L1 and would like to know if I want a H1B again, after I reach US, will I have to go through the 65000 quota ( wait till the quota opens) or I need not have to wait for the quota to open and file for H1B any time.

Your H1 would be good until expiry.
Once you decide to move to H1, you can apply for Change-of-Status from L1 to H1, and you can start working for that employer after approval.

2-3 months by normal process. 15 days by premium.
