L1-H1 doubts

I am planning to switch my L1B to H1B and have few doubts

1. My L1B expiration date in 01-Oct-2010. If I apply H1B fresh application and L1 extension during the same time (e.g. start L1B extension in March and start H1 application in April) Will they have any impact on each other?

2. Anyone from Infosys (L1B) resigned in US and joined somebody else? just wanted to check in case they have any company specific clause.

3. Roughly by which month i may get my H1B COS done (if I get H1)? is it possible by june?

3. It takes 2-3 months for processing. You'll be eligible to work from Oct 2010.

So it mean that I can not start working on H1b before 01 oct even if I apply
H1 with COS and get my status changed from L1 to H1 without re-entering in US?

Yes.
New approved H1 would only be valid from Oct 1st. No matter what you do.
