need to apply for EAD or not & how do I apply for my Social Security

Hi There,

I came here on B1/B2 visa in 2002 and applied for a tranfer to H1 twice but got denied both times. since then I havent tried to apply for anything and ended up over staying on my B1/B2 visa. I recently got married to a US citizen and we are trying to apply for my green card, which we understand will be a temporary 2 yr green card.

But what we don't understand and need your help in is..do I need to apply for an EAD? since I plan on working. Also how and when do I apply for my Social Security?

1. If you want to work before getting green card, you will have to apply for EAD.
