Can H1B visa holder work in any capacity for an LLC or be a co founder/owner?

I would like to know/explore in what capacity (if any) an individual working in USA on H1B visa be a business partner in an LLC?

Can this individual hold a position in an LLC while not getting paid in any way?
Can this individual hold a position in an LLC and perform any business activities?
Can this individual be a co-founder of an LLC?

I feel NO. As H1B you can just invest and then stop. No other roles...
