H1 Query

My wife is on H1B visa and i am on H4....She intends to travel to India for 3 weeks vacation....Can she travel to India without me and i would be staying in the US?....Or is it necessary for me to also travel to India with her?...Will i be considered out of status when she travels to India?.

Any short trips by the primary H1B candidate outside the country without the dependents is okay.

Technically when the H1B candidate leave the country, there is no status. So dependents will go out of status if they continue to stay in the country without the primary applicant. So make sure you don't stay in the country without the primary applicant for a longer duration.
