Applying for H1 and O1 simulataneously
Hi
A US based company is applying for an H1B and O1 visa simultaneously. I was wondering if this is a problem. The H1B does not allow me to work until October. O1 if approved will let me start ASAP. I would prefer to get the O1.
I am not sure if 2 simultaneous applications will lead to automatic rejection of the alternate application. And is this the right thing to do?
if one of the visa gets approved, will the other one automatically cancel or can you switch on the other visa?
Another question is what has people's experience been with O1 applications. I have a PhD and about a year and half work experience. Have publications...
