I have a query about next steps for my scenario -
I have a L1B from company A filed in Dev 2007, I started work in US in Jan 2008. My I-94 is valid till March 2010.
Now in Oct 2009 I also got a H1B with COS done with company B. Though I didnt realize that it was filed with COS.
Now I didnt shift to company B (H1B) in Oct 2009 but am still working with compant A (L1B). I came to know today that this is illegal and I should have been working with company B (H1B).
Question:
1. Can I shift now to company B (H1B) without getting into any legal issues?
2. Company A wants to transfer my H1B visa (filed by company B) can this be done?
3. If I leave US right now will that help my case or worsen my case?
4. What are my legal options now? Can I get a new L1 or H1 filed for me without running into legal issues?
