  • Mismatch in I94 and I797A end date. Received I797B, without I94.

    Hi,

I have a question related to I797B. I am currently working in United states on H1B VISA.

My H1B Visa was issued on I797A, which expires on Aug,29th 2019. I got an I797B issued to me on Feb,26th,2019 but that does not have a valid I94 associated with it.

    1) Does this mean, I would need to go to my home country and get H1B visa stamped on my passport?
    2) My previous passport expired on Feb 2nd, 2019 and hence my I94 was shortened to that date (instead of being Aug,29th as per my H1B VISA stamping). Does this mean I have been staying illegally in the states.

Please help with answers. Attached my current status information.
    Thanks.
