Change Of Status from B1/B2 to H1B

My New employer suggested to apply for B1/B2 visa to visit USA, and they want to change status from B1 to H1B once I'm in USA.

As I have already had a valid approved H1B petition, Is there a possibility to change my status from B1 to H1B in cap-exempt?
Can I apply for COS immediately after I landed in USA on B1/B2?
Is there any minimum time I need to spent in USA before I apply COS?

The course you outlined is possible, but not recommended. You would have to answer truthfully when you are questioned at the port of entry regarding your visit's purpose, which is at odds with the intended use of a visitor visa.
